I originally got into Hobie 16 sailing because of a YouTube video. Here's a video my buddy put together of his NACRA 5.2 racing at Carlyle Sailing Association along with some various Tomfoolery of us. The Cayman Sails Hobie 16 is me. I hope you enjoy!

I love those dark sails on the 18!

Great video, thanks for sharing it! I love the shot of the Nacra almost stuffing the bows. The Hobie would have pitch poled for sure. Gotta love the wave piercing bows!

Thanks! Great video!
I'm going to have to come try out Carlyle Lake. I live in Rockford, and usually go north to Madison, WI. I'm guessing that your sailing season is a few weeks longer than mine.
What marina are you launching from? Do they have a daily use ramp too?

The folks at Carlyle Sailing Association are very friendly. My NACRA friend, Charlie, that made this video is a member there and keeps his boat onsite mast-up. You can daysail for $10/day. You can see the grassy cat field and sandy shore entrance to the lake in the intro this video. They have very good facilities. Come on up for a regatta next year, they host a few really good events each year, in addition to weekly racing. PM me and I can get you in touch with Charlie for more info.
