I've owned a Hobie16 since 1978. When I heard the 16 World Championship was being held just down the road (It's probably faster to go by boat across the bay from Punta Gorda) in Captiva, I was thrilled. I signed up on the crew list, but at 66 and 160 there weren't any takers. So I figured I would just go down for a visit. That plan was nixed by me slipping off the fishin' boat and fracturing my hip. Plan C: Yesterday I was going to call Dick who is a customer the store I work in and a former member of Fleet 204 to get me a T shirt. Did not need to call, I ran into to him and his SIL Mimi at the grocery store. My T shirt is on the way.

The weather is looking good for next week.

My best to all the competitors and those running the event.
