My husband has been sailing for the last 30 years. He went from a Hobie Cat which he loved to a sailboat then motor boat. He has not had a boat for the last 7 years but really misses sailing and realized the most fun he had on boats was on the Hobie 16. I went to their website and see they have other models besides the fiberglass original. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference would be in safety ( not tipping over) and performance of the Hobie 16 fiberglass vs the Hobie 14? Can they both be launched from the beach? Can you fly a hull on the 14? |

Any Hobie Cat can launch from the beach and I'm pretty sure they can all fly a hull. The rotomolded boats don't have quite the performance of the fiberglass boats, but none of them are sluggards. |
