Hi all. I have an old hotstick that was handed down to me, so I have no idea how old it is. It keeps slipping, so it is kind of useless right now. Is this just a normal part of their aging and there is nothing I can do about it? Or does someone out there someone out there know of a way to repair them?

Extend it all the way out. The inner core has a high point (ridge) that as twisted interacts with the inside of the outer part. Paint the ridge with some resin to build it up slightly. Can make it new again!

Great, I'll try that!
