What product is recommend to use on comtip repairs?

I am wanting to reinforce my comtip by adding a new layer of fiberglass.

Does the West System resin work here? Or should I get something else?

The rivets securing the eye strap for my spinaker halyard pulled out.....
I am getting help from an expert in overlaying a strip of carbon fibre, as soon as he is free.
He said to use epoxy.

When that happens, I will post results.

Yes, I know in Europe they use straight stick masts, which makes life easier.....sigh!

I've used epoxy (no glass) to recoat a comptip, and it worked great. (FYI....There are a lot of other, less expensive products than West.) Adding some graphite powder will make it jet black. You need to topcoat it, though, or UV will degrade it quickly. (I used rattle can epoxy appliance paint, and it holds up well.)
