Battens

If your interested I have a set of brand new jib batton pocket end protectors that I'd sell you. I was going to return them to my dealer cause I ended up not needing them. The main needed them so I ordered them for the jib too but as it turns out they are fine. They are the ones with rivets though so you'd need a rivit tool. I'm not exactly sure how much they were but I'll sell them to you a little cheaper since I've already paid the dealer if it will help a fellow sailor out.

Oh man, thanks a ton for the offer. I actually broke down and picked up the missing protector I needed. I'm still in need of two odd-ball main battens though. I'll have to order these eventually, but having all but the two and a full set of jib battens was good enough to get me on the water yesterday...

Good deal man. Yeah, get those battens. I couldn't imagine what it would be like if they weren't there. I'll head back to shore to re-tune if I don't like the way they are tensioned, or the few times they've come untied. Glad you're getting your kid out. My dad sold his hobie to pay for my birth. I can't help but think what it would have been like if he had sold something else instead. But I've gotten him out on mine so all is not lost
