| Post subject: | Rudder composition |
I recently bought a 77 H16. The rudders are excellent but the finish gone leaving what looks like fiberglass dust from sun exposure. Does anyone know what the composition is and what finish I should use. Gelcoat or paint? Thanks |

Most likely Lexan... they do look like fibers when oxidized. If production fiberglass... usually gel coat. Black? Could be an EPO rudder that was built in the 80's. |
