I am looking to get some tiger trax or cat trax and ran across a set of tiger trax close to me for $200. It's hard to pay too much when the boat and trailer cost $600, but I got such a good deal that I shouldn't worry too much. Thoughts?

If the wheels aren't beat and still turn on the axle, that's a pretty good deal.

it seemed like a pretty good deal if they are in as good a condition as they seem.

The hard plastic wheels aren't very user friendly. Hold out for a set with inflated wheels.

I think I'll wait then as I can see some real advantages to soft tires.

The hard wheels work ok on hard packed surfaces. But they definitely leave something to desire on rough terrain or soft sand.

That said, the price is still good for the trax.

If you aren't interested in them, I might be. Where did you find them?

For the last couple months of the sailing season, my lake was so low, I was dragging my boat across 25-30 ft of sand/mud to get to the water. That's still not very far, but wheels would have been handy.
