Ok,had my getaway since 2003,i have noticed my comptip seems to be pulling further into the aluminium section, yes,it is glued but moving dramatically causing the rig to be a little looser the usual when it is in it's usual position.I can't really tension it much more,so will a new comptip eventually be required? :?: The comptip has lost some of the black coating near the join due to wear and tear.

The glue isn't holding. Re-seat with new epoxy and add a few (4 or more) rivets. That should lock it in place better.

I have a friend who is having the same problem.
Where should I put the rivets? I was thinking about an inch below the joint and evenly distributed in the perimeter of the mast.... Does that seem ok?

thanks,

Guillermo
