For those who want to rooftop it here is another device that will do the job - awefully pricey though

Ron and John,

Looking forward to meeting up and going sailing.
After I get my TI, I would like to go to the coast and sail.
Any interest in doing that?

Mark.

Hello Mark,

You mentioned that you were...
"Looking forward to meeting up and going sailing.

My wife and I live in Houston, TX and a few months ago we ordered a TI. It should be here in a few weeks. Maybe we can get together and do some sailing some time.

Reuben,

Yeah that would be great.

My wife trains for Triathlon's and wants to do some ocean swims. So if we meet up she will want to swim 30-60 minutes with me taggin along in the tI but, after that would be some sailing time.

I have met a few others from up in this area, maybe they can come to?

Look forward to getting together and doing some sailing.

Mark.

John,

You are back now right? Hopefully we can meet up sometime soon. Have you met up with Ron yet?
What is your email?

Here are some pictures of my TI secured and ready to go. It's no trouble with two people loading the boat. I haven't loaded it by myself yet, however, I'm not too worried since once you get the bow on the rear rack it's pretty easy to slide up.

Is that thing sitting unsupported on the racks?

Looking at the pictures with the bow facing the rear, that statement has me scratching my head. If you load the rear first, I agree once the bow is up there, all you have to do is tie her down. If you load from the front, how do you do that? Call me confused.

Yes, it is sitting directly on the rack. The crossbars do have rubber inserts that helps prevent sliding.

I wasn't paying attention to which way the picture showed the boat loaded, I've loaded it bow first and stern first. I guess I should have said, "load one end of the kayak on the rear bar and then slide the boat up."

Hmm, the hull must be stronger. I don't think you could get away with that with an AI.
