We are wondering if anyone has any experience sailing and camping in the Petoskey, MI area or on Little Traverse Bay in Morthern MI?
Has anyone stayed at Petoskey State park? Can you leave your cat on the beach there?

Any recommendations/experiences would be great !!!
thanks !!

My family vacations annually on Mullett Lake about 30 minutes away and keeps a 16 there at a lakefront house, but we've not ventured to sail Lake Michigan. Try contacting the Hobie dealer in Traverse City for tips.

Morthern Michigan? Mullett Lake? Sounds like my kind of place.

Now where did I put the keys to my Camaro?

;)

That end of L. Michigan is real windy. I haven't sailed it yet though...

My sister has a summer home in Harbor Springs right on the bay. I plan to take my Wave there this summer and sail off her beach. Also , we rent a place on Lake Charlevoix ( @12 miles by 2.5 miles) with beachfront ( near Boyne City at the end of the lake). I have sailed my Sunfish there. This year I will be taking my newly aquired used Wave. Little Traverse Bay and Lake Charlevoix have GREAT afternoon winds! Many big boat fleets on these lakes.
