Remy4u97,
The pegs are designed to extend beyond the deck surface so that the retainer clip can be used. The post you refer to was an older cart that was modified to fit the PA. If you will be purchasing a new cart, it would be good to specify (to your dealer) that it will be used with the PA. If you are currently using an old cart with a PA, be extremely careful if you are tipping your PA on its side to insert/remove the cart. If the "arms" don't extend completely through the scupper holes while lifting to an upright position (or laying on its side), the tips can damage the inside of the scupper holes.
I hope this info is helpful!

Yes, I had the older post showing the extended legs for the cart. That's the set that came with the PA and no, I'm still to this day not happy about it. It was the early on version of shoulder shrugging that took place when I asked about it. I never did take it up the line, figured I could handle it myself. Dealer just said "it's what they said to supply"..... something to that effect.
It might actually be the one that was in the kit when it arrived. No idea.
But as stated, be careful if they don't extend through the hull completely. Make it happen somehow.
The strongest part of the scupper holes is the very top and bottom edges. Other than that, they are pretty thin.

Thanks, currenty using the KFS cart V2 with the big wheels the uprights were modified and extend a couple inches past the top of scuppers, ordered the hd cart from Austin Kayak, not yet in stock so hopefully it is the right one. Wanted the harder wheels for the launches around here... no sand just hard pack.
