I'm considering solo sailing/peddling the Lake Superior Water Trail this August weather window on my Hobie A.I. With me will be a PFD, a drysuit, sailing gloves, handheld marine radio, EPIRB, GPS stored with emergency landing waypoints, watertight cellphone, and emergency gear.
Who else here has done any portion of this trail or have any thoughts on what else to consider before attempting this?

BTW, if anyone is motivated to do some sail yaking up in Northern Minnesota we can get going a group trip out of the Twin Cities. August generally is a good time to plan a water trip.
