come on babies! get that traveler in, and get way out on the trap! you want to be almost parallel with the boat! I've seen 2 yr. olds sail better than that!!! :D

babies - hehehe I know, but was first time out for the season, March 31st and the water was what we call "SOFT ICE" we didn't want to tip it. Which is why is flinched and released the main line as we just started to lift a hull. Sure was fun getting out in MARCH in MICHIGAN!

Camera is a Canon D10 underwater capible... We tied it to the front forestay. Had it there for 1 hour of shooting. Lots of better shots too - but didn't take time to find best. Just edited one up to toss in facebook.

Camera is good if you do a lot of water shooting., (We do) else it's weak in the zoom and wide angle areas. I wish it had a wider angle. Still nice litlte camera.
Can go underwater to 33ft (1 atmosphere)

Cool video....brrrr.
Ok,correct me if I'm wrong here, but I've seen this a few times in the Forum.
Why do people stand on the hulls when trapping out?I was always told to stay off....that's how delamination starts.Fact or fiction??
I never stand on my hulls, except when I flip.

Great job with the camera and holy shnikey, Michigan in March must be worse than VT.The ice isn't even off of the mountain ponds in early April. I have a sub freezing wetsuit and cringe at the thought of 33 to 40 deg' water racing down my back if I go for a dunkin'. Good way to test the strength of your heart LOL.

They have full wet suits on and they float, that said I would have had my jacket on.

It bugs me when I see people stand up and try to get out on the trap, especially on my boat. I know I will see them fall in the water sooner or later. I hang my butt off the edge until the trap has all my weight.
