Great alternative trip to the post title!
35km -our longest day trip yet in the TI. We were very pleased with how comfortable it was and how well it handled the varying conditions. :)
Jerusalem Bay lunch stop:

Thanks to Chrisj, Slaughter, CGM and Davew for an enjoyable trip.
Now -back on topic.
When are we going to try again for Terrigal?

Very keen but for me October is all pretty near booked out now. However 2nd or 3rd may be OK otherwise I may have to be content with looking at other peoples photos.

Stringy - how did the GoPro video come out ? P.S. your mast has got a bend in it.

Yeah, I've booked that in as per the dates in the thread 23rd / 24th with weather provisions 30th / 31st. I don't think I'll be camping now. I think it will just be a muck around, meet the others sort of day trip for me. How about yourself ?

I can do 2/3 as well though remember it is the Oct long weekend. I'm not sure what parking would be like at Terrigal. An early start might be needed.
Any chance of a weekday for this trip?

Slaughter,
Not just a bend in the mast. The ama look like bananas in some clips!
I've got some useable clips but it takes me a while to edit. Most of our still pics from the Canon are blurred from salt on the lens.
Anyone else get some decent pics?
PS
Apparently iPhone apps also work on the iPad. I showed Jason Navionics and he was very keen to try it out. As mentioned elsewhere an iPad in a waterproof case would make a great GPS that you wouldn't need glasses to read!

Here's some from me...

Cliffs in Jerusalem Bay
Image

Cottage Point Restaurant. The sea planes stop here too. I reackon we should all save up and do a Hobie forum Christmas meet here. They might have to hide us away someplace. But Chris says they still feed you so long as you've got the $$$$. We could all sail up in our kayaking gear and bow ties....
Image

Our destination for the day - Cottage Point kiosk. Didn't quiet make it there though.
Image

Meeting up with the team from Patonga off Jerusalem Bay.
Image

AI's & TI frolicking in the sun...
Image

Stopping for lunch at the top of Jerusalem Bay. Very shallow up here. Watch your Mirage Drive! No accidents this trip.
Image

Tracklog for the day. Davew and I launched from down south. The others came from up north. 30.7 Km for this track. Not a bad days effort considering there was little wind most of the day.
Image

Movie to follow....

P.S. Just spoke to Det (okZ00k). Contrary to popular opinion he has not been kidnapped by aliens, just hibinating. Might have to plan a Canberra trip at some stage though.

Chris / Stringy - a weekday somewhere in the week starting the 4th Oct could suit me if it suits youz.

CGM - that photography practise is certainly paying dividends. Nice shots mate. I've go a funny feeling that the Photo Contest is going to have a couple of last minute entries before the end of the year.

After talking to Dave about Josh's camera problems I had a look at mine and there are a couple of very small pit marks on the back face around the rear screen edge. It's only 10 months old so I rang them and it is now in their system to be fixed. The seals automatically get replaced which needs to be done every year anyway so the warrenty isn't void.

My photos are on their way.

Terrific pics as usual CGM. 8)
I'll post a video, when I finish it, in Slaughters Jerusalem Bay log.
Back on topic. I'll fit in with whatever suits the rest for Terrigal. It's good to see the NE'sters getting more frequent. :)

We can do Sat or Sun. The swell is looking lower for Sat. The tide at Ettalong is high at around 3:30pm Sat and 5:30pm Sun so slightly better for Sunday, though we've never really had a problem going against the tide at Half Tide Rocks. If we are going I'll need to know by tonight so I can arrange leave.
As it's the long weekend an early start at Terrigal Haven is probably a good idea. :)
