Doesn't sound real flash does it ? Probably the name puts people off as there was hardly anyone there which suited us just fine.

I don't really need to recommend the spot as I hope that the photos speak for themselves. The place is brilliant. Campsite is clean and well layed out with drop toilets. You manage your own rubbish and showers don't exist but 4 days after the new year and the place was nearly deserted.

Our Hobies carved up the waterways. Hope you enjoy the clip

Wow, better than I thought. Looks like a great place to visit.
I could see the DSLR getting used there as well.

I see your fishing efforts were better rewarded than mine....

Great pics Slaughter and a very nicely edited, classy slideshow! 8)
I knew you'd enjoy it.
It's one of NSW's best kept secrets. We have been there a number of times and I agree with your Kakadu comment.
After our first trip there we were telling friends it was like The Bungle Bungles and Geike Gorge rolled into one, but minus the heat and crocs and all at our backdoor!
I'm very surprised how empty it was.
Our last trip there in January 4 years ago it was packed.
BTW-Nice Yellowbelly!

Thanks fellas. In that spot from up high where I took the last few photos, I sat for an hour just taking it in. Stunning place. This was also my first attempt at using Windows Movie Maker ( is that what you both use ? ) I was pretty happy with the result but like setting up the AI, I have to get the time down. Pretty easy package but I was up til 2:30am.

I'll come clean with the fish, my mate caught both .................... but I did eat one.

I use software from AVS - http://www.avs4you.com/index.aspx

First I use AVS Video Converter to convert the AVCHD format that the Panasonic DMC-FT1 uses to AVI.
Then I edit the video in AVS Video Editor. I think any video editing needs practice. I used to use Pinnacle software that came withe a video capture card. It was so buggy, slow and prone to crashing. Much happier with the AVS software.

You can download trial copies from the website. I paid the unlimited subscription US$59 which allows me to use any of the software packages and unlimited updates.

Anyone use anything else? I must admit I've never used MS Movie Maker.

I have done a lot of SD Mini DV editing and swap between Pinnacle Studio9 and Sony Vegas Studio 9 Platinum.
Now I have a HD camera that records AVCHD I am looking for something that handles the HD better. Vegas is a HD editor but it took 9 hours to convert 1 hour of video to DVD. I may have to upgrade my PC!
I was thinking of upgrading to Pinnacle Studio 14 software as well as it can handle HD.
Thanks for AVS4U site CGM-I'll download a trial. :)

That's why I upgraded my PC. Quad core i7 doesn't mess about with video....
I'm looking at putting Windows 7 64 bit on in the next month or so. Hopefully will get a bit more performance out of it.

Looks like awesome spot, just brought it up on Google earth.
How deep does it get and what was the water quality like, would love to also have a scuba dive along those cliffs.
