Sounds like a good day. Have you got a place to upload and store the pics?
(e.g. Imageshack, Flikr etc?)

Well, I think I have managed to put some photos on Facebook, first time and no help from kids :?
You could try looking up Doneld Proctor. Note funny spelling -security, experiment, paranoia? I figured if I get spam with funny spelling I know where it came from.
Let me know if it works.

Here's a suggestion for a TI / AI fleet outing on Sunday 10 April 2011.

Leave Woollahra Sailing Club about 9am.
Head west under the Harbour Bridge and up the Parramatta River, as far as we get by lunch time. A harbour side park stop for lunch. High tide is about 1pm, so we can ride the tide back down the River with the autumn sun on out backs.
Possible refreshment at the Rose Bay RSL afterwards.

Any one who doesn't want to get to Woollahra could meet us along the way.

Any takers?

cheers,
Donald

Sounds like a very nice outing. If I happen to be up that way I would be a definite goer - will certainly keep it in mind

Sounds like a plan. Perhaps a BBQ lunch at Cockatoo Island? Access is (was?) via one of the old slipways.

Hi Guys,
Chris here from the Sailing Scene in Sydney. We are having our annual Hobie Island Sailing Day on the 17th April 2011. We will be meeting at the Eastern end of Balmoral at 930 where we will be supplying free Bacon and Egg rolls for everyone. We aim to leave there at 1030am and sail on round toward the Harbour Bridge and Opera House for a photo or two, before heading in to Doyles for some fish and chips, and then finish off with a gentle sail back. (those who have there boats on the south side may want to rendevous mid way)
For all those that would like further details emailed to them, please email me [email protected] as we would love to have as many boats as possible. I think we managed 26 islands the first year, so with the Tandem Island now available i am sure we can better that! Hope to see you all there!

Cheers
Barnsie

Hopefully Bob and I will be there. Will look forward to it and will pray for fair weather.
We missed last years event somehow but will definitely put this date on the calendar.
Cheers. DEB.

Sounds good. Might do Sydney Harbour from Woollahra on 10 April and Balmoral on 17th.
My brother sent me a clipping from the Clarence River Valley newspaper (Coastal Views 18-2-2011). Story about a group of 22 sailing kayaks going up river and getting stopped by NSW Maritime threatening to fine them for organising an event without a permit. Go you Hobie anarchists! Forget outlaw bikie gangs, now we have outlaw hobie gangs.
I hope Smallfish can join us. He's a lawyer.

Hi Guys,
So i have been playing around with Google maps, and have bashed this together. This is the plan, and once we leave Doyles, we can then decide over lunch what direction everyone wants to part in

So to make it easy on everyone, so you guys from the south side dont have to cross more than one bridge (cause i know that can be scary for some from the shire :D :D ) there will be a few meeting a Woolarah Sailing Club a little later in the morning. After revising the distance, we aim to go from balmoral to W.S.C and then from there to Watsons bay for lunch. It means that for those that want to shorten the car journey there is a meeting poing on the southern side. Let me know how you are all going!

Cheers
Barnsie
