What is the time frame, or rule of thumb for replacing rigging used in fresh water?

What about the attachment points on the mast and hull.

Cheers Alan

My racers do rigging changes at least every 2 years. Recreation use is normally about 3-4, depending on if you mast is always left up, How often you sail. However I have seen some rigging that is 10+ years old that works just fine. A wire set is the best bang for the buck when insuring your safety on the boat, next to the life jacket your gona need when the mast falls and you go swimming; unconscious.

Thanks,
