Rigged Getaway as normal the other day, and backing it down to the boat ramp, the massed has snapped clean into 2 pieces, one end i believe is the fibreglass end (top section), and the bottom aluminium. Anyone have any suggestion to why this may happen or has it happened to anyone before? Taking it to my hobie dealer this week, public holiday long weekend at the mo

A long lever arm... leverage. But may have been damaged already, who knows.

We bought the boat second hand 6 months ago and have used it about 8 times. The dealer is going to be putting a new top section on the mast and I don't believe the boat was ever rigged properly by the guy we bought it off so.. At least it happened on the land and not on the water coz some one could of seriously gotten hurt.
