Just got this getaway and hAving trouble understanding how to tune the sAiland rigging? Any help? I had it: forstay was about the 4th whole and the main stays in the second. The mast was loose is low wind.. And really bothered me. Some insight please... New to sailing and lacking in tuning and rigging
Also which hole in the clew for what conditions?

I generally try to keep the forestay and shrouds just tight enough to remove the slack from the wires. The mast does flop around a bit on a calm day when crossing another boats wake etc.

In heavier wind use the forward and lower hole in the clew. It helps flatten the sail to depower it. In lighter wind you want more curve in the sail for more power so use one of the rear holes in the clew.

Thanks.. I was worried about then mast turning and flopping. Though it was about to pull the mount out of the alms
