For Hobie regattas just the skipper needs to be a class member but for the North American Championships I believe that both skipper and crew need to be members.

Technically, IHCA Rule 26 (Membership) requires one person (skipper or crew) to be a member in a sanctioned points regatta.

In Regional (North American) and World Championships, all crew persons must be IHCA members.

The link is posted above your latest post.

By joining the North American Class Assoc., you are automatically a member of the IHCA.

You do not need to join US SAILING (United States Sailing Association) to race in sanctioned HCANA events, although we do encourage membership in that organization.
