Can't stand to wait any longer: I am going to order a Hobie Adventure. I will ask for the fisherman kit and the enhanced drive, rudder, and paddle, plus the sail kit and daggerboard.

I am going to start with some freshwater trips but look forward to some saltwater when I feel comfortable, in shape, etc. I will be doing some freediving and lots of fishing.

What else should I get from the Hobie dealer?

Thanks for the advice.

Paddle leash, hat and sunglasses. Pneumatic tire upgrade for the cart.

I am working with a Sacramento dealer: Adventure Mountain Sports. So far ballparking the Adventure in mango with fishing kit (paddle, cooler, anchor, cart, rod holder), sail kit, daggerboard, Yakima rack and cargo pod, pfd, and on order: nav lights, upgraded rudder, and turbo Mirage drive.

I am going to hold off on sonar/gps until I live with the boat a while.

Based on posts here, I will add a paddle leash, the upgraded cart wheels, and leashes for the Mirage drive and daggerboard.

Anything else I should add while I can still add things to the deal??

Thanks.

I tether my daggerboard to the daggerboard plug so no additional tether is required.

Hobie sunglasses or similar are necessary to keep your eyes from to much sun. And if your getting all of that you may as well throw in a Hobie hat.

I have posted this elsewhere but consider it worth checking out:
