Good video. Did you have the rudder turned all the way, or just half turn or something? Thanks....

It's usually a full turn to make the system work. The rudder's ability to be (a rudder) becomes very minimal when used close to prop. A very efficient system once you learn how to drive it.

This is the cheapest way to motorize the PA, everything else is just more $ to get a tighter turning radius. You can do this for under $200.00

While creating this video I wondered, Is This A Kayak???

For the Control Unit, I extended cables an extra 6' between them. It allows me to have it out of the way, but close enough to operate, it makes a great arm rest.

When I sell the PA and move on, I can put it back together and it becomes a trolling motor again, as it's not a specific Kayak propulsion system.

GoPro is mounted with a Manfrotto Super Clamp
