anyone know if the electric pump hobie sells for inflatables is just a standard pump (i.e. works with air mattress, water tubes, etc.) or does it have a special connection with the hobie?

Its just a regular 12 volt, high volume, low pressure pump. Yep, you can use it
to blow up your air mattress etc...
