I keep my boat on the beach in CT on Long Island Sound. I have decent ground anchors to tie the boat down. What other suggestions do you have to ride out the hurricane? Mast up or down? Add weight (sand bags) to the tramp? I don't have a trailer or a good place to store the boat at home.

Or course none of this protects me from other cats flying around.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Water in hull, tramps off (or flip it). I like mast off.

I have survived Andrew, Katrina, and Wilma, when these things hit there is little you can do unless you have your boat inside.

Take it apart and put it inside a garage or truck.

Just my two cents, I have a lot of personal experience with these storms. If they hit, you ain't gonna win.

Thanks for all of the advice. I ended up disassembling the boat and taking it home, so it is just fine...now I need to put it back together!
