I recently had a warranty issue with Hobie because of a crack that developed in my Outback hull near the Mirage Drive well. I was fishing in lower Baja at the time, and when I emailed Hobie with my problem, they replied immediately, saying they would definately honor their warranty, but I had to get back to the US for them to do it. I didn't want to go right then, so they gave me great information on how to cobble the kayak together until such time as I could get a replacement. Their suggestions were very helpful and enabled me to fish another 4 months before my return to the US.
When I returned, Hobie immediately replaced my hull and several other things that I was having an issue with.
I have nothing but good things to say about how I was treated at Hobie, and only wish that every manufacturer had the honesty and integrity that I found at Hobie.
I have throughly enjoyed my kayak. I am a compulsive fisherman and generally put on between 5 and 7 miles a day in the kayak. The mirage drive enables me to do this, and the Hobie kayak makes me feel safe while doing it.
Thank you Hobie for your great service
Tony McMillan

I had an issue and have had the Outback for probably 2 years 4 months so was out of warrany, my dealer said to give it a go and see what happens. Hobie offered me a new 2011 hull for a couple of hundred dollars and the dealer changed everything over for me for me, even changed over my accessories. More than happy as I am in Austrarlia and the hull was shipped in from USA. :D No complaints about Warranty or after market delaings :D

I love to hear stories like these. It makes me feel better in case a problem ever happens to my outback. Hobie rocks!
