HOBIE 16, Hull Puncture / Tramp Post
I have a Hobie 16 which continues to aquire cracks in the port hull, near the bottom edge, directly under the forward quarter tramp frame / post. It appears that some compression is happening from the post 'settling' into the hull. Numerous glass jobs have been unsuccessful, as it seems the stress is point loaded.
Any thoughts or experience of a 'settling post', and can anything be done to rectify this?

Review the Sept/Oct 2009 Hotline for a full article on pylon shoe repair.
