Anyone got more days on the water this year than these guys?

They left Key West in early August and are now in the Chesapeake Bay about 60 miles South of Annapolis.

I posted this story in the 18 Forum a while back under Voyage of the Kingfish 2011. Florida to New York?

You can check there progress at http://www.harrypidgeonproductions.com/ click on the Live Map for current location or the LONG MAP to see how far they have traveled.

GO Kingfish!!!

Last February I met a Canadian gent named Rene Potvin. He had been sailing his AI around the south Florida area for, I think, several weeks when he joined a group of us doing an 8 day sailing/camping trip from Chockoloskee to Flamingo. After that trip he sailed around the keys for another couple weeks. In early march he began the voyage back to Montreal - Yep, he sailed his AI from Miami to Montreal. The trip took about 3 1/2 months. So, basically Rene was sailing his AI from somewhere around mid-January to the end of June - over 5 months pretty much non-stop.

Rene chronicled the adventure on his blog. It is an interesting read. The trip was not without its challenges! Here's the link: http://miami2montreal.wordpress.com/

Rene is also an open water free diving spearfishing champion. Here's a link to his personal site: http://www.renepotvin.com/
