Check out these guys if you have a chance. They are doing a lot of great work bringing publicity to ocean environments and protection of the sea life. They will be using AI's and TI's as they sail down from Gaviota to the USA/Mexico in the coming weeks and stopping for various events. Check out their schedule, follow along and meet up with them if you're in the area!

They used AI's for their first voyage, down the East coast of Australia in 2009. I can't see any reference on their website as to whether they are going to use AI's or TI's or neither on this new expedition.

They will all be on TI's for their trip this time. They wanted the ability to bring friends and family along for various legs.

A few of us from Hobie Cat are planning on meeting up with the crew again at their next event in Dana Point next weekend (the 16th), and then sailing with them on a few legs through San Diego. If there's any interest in joining, I'll post more information when we get closer.

Should be interesting to see how the TI's handle all the surf landings and launchings.
