Here is my answer to the TI/AI Cart issue:

I also was concerned with the flexing on the scupper holes so came up with this!
This is the "prototype" - we have it set up to be CNC machined with 3/16 aluminum.
As to the wheels sinking into sand - or pebbled/rocky beaches we have here on Vancouver Island is just a shaft through the existing HD cart frame and add more HD wheels! (in test progress). - I've not had an issue with the pressure on the top of the scuppers from forward/back pressure.
The "getting the kayak on the cart alone" issue - I've found just "un-clip" one sides AKA's and roll the kayak onto its side - leaving mast in and other side out to lift it with.
