I'd say that it would be worth it if you get all of the "extras" that he/she has also. Hell, throw in the H14 too. Haha

its a 1983 and i got it for 500... its a solid as a rock the waviness is from the camera

I voted no, but it depends how everything else looks. If you can climb on and sail, then it is probably a good deal. If there are a bunch of missing small parts, they are really weather aged, than not so much. It also depends what you want to do with it. If you are going to store it on the beach and just sail for recreation occationally, then it is perfect. Why buy a new one to let it just get in this condition after a few years on the beach?

If you really plan to keep it nice and update it to current performance levels, you could spend a couple thousand for sails, rudders, blocks, lines, tramp, etc.
