Just wanted to say thank you to the great community and lifestyle that everyone has got me into. I browse the forums all the time looking for help with various projects and must say everyone is sooo quick to respond when you need help that I just keep coming back here to do my research.

Keep it up Hobie!!

I second that. It is a great act of good will, that will be self serving over the long term, as I am sure you have found.

Having all of this support has allowed many old boats to live again, and that has allowed many people to get hooked that wouldn't otherwise, including me. I am sure that my addiction to my 1979 H16 will eventually lead to my purchase of a new one in the future.

Without this forum, my 1973 h16 would still be in parts in my back yard.

There is another good news. Obama administration just announced, all catamaran purchases are now tax deductible. The new program aims to rise awesomeness factor of the nation.

This rumor has officially been confirmed, and the inside story came out. Tuned out, Hobie patent lawyers have found a loop hole than makes manufacturing all sailing catamarans, other than Hobie, illegal. Performance Cats, the manufacturer of Nacra, had no choice but give up their ownership to Hobie for $1. The company was subsequently renamed into Regular Cats. All Nacra hulls are now redesigned to give them more of a "rocker". Banana shaped Nacras are to resemble Hobie look-and feel.
