Good points. There are a lot of us that spent the extra on the slider pedestal that we put under our current PA14 seats. I wonder if the same folks that raved about the sliding pedestal would really give up that setup and money shelled out to spend more on the Vantage seat and/or modifying it to fit.
While I do like what I see in the new seat, I'm not likely to entertain additional expenses and work to get one to work on my PA14. Now if I buy a different Hobie or need another Pro Angler down the road...that might be a different story. If the Vantage seat works out well, I could see Hobie maybe updating the PA14 in the future to have the new seat, but that would take a mold change.
