I dont know about anyone else, but when Im sitting in my PA 14, I often find myself sitting comfortable with my legs spread apart, because the PA 14 seat has no hip or thigh restrictions. Now looking at the new PA 12 seat, I can see where that might be a problem for some people due to the arm rest and chair supports. anyone else notice this?

Even though the new seat has arm rests (which are actually controls for the seat adjustment functions) the seat is as wide as the current seat - there is no width restriction due to the new design - not to fear everyone!

Went into my local kayak shop today. Was going to finally get a pro angler. Then I was shown the add for the 12. Came home without one. Is the 12 as stable to stand in as the 14? It's not as wide by 2". The guy said if I wanted the 14 I should wait. He hinted that a new 14 might be around the corner with all the fancy 12 stuff. I wanted it today. There is a few lakes here that don't allow my bass boat and fish are on beds. I can't stand in my outback, it turns out bad.

So, tell your local shop to make you a deal to help clear out his inventory of 2012 boats. If the new PA 14 has lots of updates, that will make the older models harder to sell. You certainly won't be disappointed with a 2012 PA 14. Plus, the new models probably won't be out until September. Why miss a summer of fishing?!

I tried that. Thet said there price set by hobie and could cut me a big deal on accessories. I still have a outback and a big bass boat. Might get those training wheel ammas things for now.
