when i capsized, my bag was stuffed on the underside of the tramp in the center strings...when sailing where do you keep your righting bag?? i am thinking of keeping it on the topside of the tramp so it'll be easier to toss over the hull thats in the air....suggestions?

Get a righting pole. I tried to use the water bag and was unable to right the boat by myself. I weigh 190. With the pole it comes right up.

Hmm I may want to get a pole too...I weigh 145lb and with all the people saying they cant right it themselves I think I need a pole! Also I intend to sail alone often!

I got the righting pole from the local Hobie Dealer, Mariner Sales http://www.mariner-sails.com/, who also installed it. Total price about $250. The righting pole is Rick White's Power Righting System. http://www.catsailor.com/power_righter.html
