Im new here and new to kayaking. I bought my son one out in Florida so he'd have something to fish out of and doing the research finding him one, I've gotten hooked. I got him a Revo 13 and He loves it. There was a demo ride by our local Hobie dealer here in Lake Charles La. and I tried out this revo 13. Im 5'5" and bout round as I am tall so needless to say, that particular boat and my rear end didnt get along. My fiance was in a sport and she liked it except for being a little small. We'ver decided to get each of us kayaks. She's set on the Outback and Im torn between the Outback and the PA 12. When it comes to the two boats I see pros and cons in each on this forum... therefore, excited and confused...but what a great problem to have :D

Both the Outback and the PA12 are great choices. You wont be disappointed.

Ill second that. Ive been fishing out of PA 14 for a few years and my wife has an outback. I live in Lafayette and fish Big Lake all the time. See you on the water.

My wife's in an Outback and I'm in a PA14. She fishes a lot during the week when I work and can manage the Outback on her own. That being said.... she tends to give me the "stink eye" when I'm on my PA because it is so dang comfortable. On the other hand, she know's she can't wrangle it, so she doesn't fuss too much. That being said, I've offered to get her a PA for when she fishes with me, and she can take the Outback when she wants to solo. The things you do for love, eh?
