Hi all...I decided a couple years ago to add another form of propulsion to my PA, so I built a transom and bought a 55 lb. thrust trolling motor with detachable head so I could place the throttle head next to my seat. Then I bought a large deep cycle battery and a battery box with 2 accessory ports, both of which have their own circuit breakers. My question is...Do I need an in-line fuse or breaker between the battery and the throttle head, or between the motor and throttle head to protect the trolling motor in case of a short in the circuit?
