a friend's kid tore out the grommet in the top of jib during a demasting. I have had a lot things break and fixed a lot of stuff but never this. Just thinking about buying the metal clew plate used on the main and trimming as necessary to fit the jib. I know that someone will say take it to a sail shop really do not have the time to do this.need to get back on the water ASAP

I once tried to make a grommet for the top of the jib with two SS washers and 5 little bolts. It didn't work, but adding a metal clew plates will work great.
