I was just thinking how much I enjoy my Revo, but prefer my Native Ultimate's mesh seat. Are there any mesh seat options out there these days? Getting my butt off the solid bottom and backrest, and into a mesh solution would be so much more comfy.

Haven't kept up with any improvements/enhancements offered by the industry in the last year, so I might be missing something.

Thx!

Many years ago prior to air conditioning being common place on automobiles, there was something you could find at most auto or even drug stores called a "cool cushion." It consisted of a mesh seat with wire springs in-between the inside and outside mesh layers that allowed air to circulate behind and around you. They were quite effective.

If you could find one of those I think you'd be amazed at how much cooler they are, but I'm not sure one would fit a kayak seat. Perhaps it's time for some enterprising outfit to consider manufacturing one specifically for kayak seats.

Oh yeah Tom I'm old enough to have owned a couple of those lol.
had an old truck in college in 1975 with no air-conditioner.

That's not a bad idea, hmm

Well, a year+ later, I'm bringing this topic up again, just making sure nothing has come up on this.

I fished today from 530am to 3pm, and I'll continue to do it, but man I sure with there was something better like a suspended mesh seat ! I absolutely love fishing with pedals/hands free, or I'd sure use my Native for its seat.

Not ready to go Pro Angler yet, but I've sure thought about it. Just don't want to deal with loading that on top my 4runner.

But they DO have mesh seats now and they're very comfy! Since you won't ever want to get out of it, you can take your mesh seat with you anywhere -- sit on the shore and fish or use it in your back yard. It's very light weight and fully adjustable. 8)
