IF you have the bent one still.

Find an All aluminum Hobie 18 mast (Non Comp-tip)

The extrusion is the same as the H20

Chop her down, drill off all the h18 gear and plug the extra holes. add the H20 gear, spreaders etc.

You will have to dremel out a new slot for sail insertion at the bottom.

Check out the silver H18 mast converted to H20 mast.

#484 was the boat that Enrique Figueroa won the 1994 Hobie 20 Nationals on.

We'll, at least that's the sail he did it with.

This particular Hobie 20 has been passed around on my local c-list so many times you have to search for it under Casual Encounters.

The pictured H20 is a Frankenstein 20 with different hull #s. When the Mast bent I sold off all the newer parts to buy another 20. Then when I realized the H20 and H18 masts are the same extrusion,I made the mast from a H18 spar and got a bunch of parts from Chris W, including the sail. Then I passed her on down line.

1994 Hobie 20 Nationals were in St. Joseph, MI - sailed in Lake Michigan.

In 1995, hurricane Opal caused the cancellation of the Hobie 20 Nationals in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. It's the only time a major Hobie championship has been cancelled. (It was actually postponed to 1996.)

Many competitors went to the area anyway and helped with the clean up.
