1/2" diameter rope minimum tied to a cinder block buried 3-4' deep in the sand. Tie the rope around the front crossbar (not the dolphin striker). For added security, do the same for the rear crossbar. If you're worried about someone moving your boat, use a chain/cable also. Take the boat off the beach for big storms.

Use a tarp or cover to protect your tramp from the sun if you want it to last.

If water could ever reach it, keep drain plugs on, if not, keep them off, but put something like a wire mesh in the hole to prevent bugs or bees from entering.
Yes, keep the Trampoline covered with any good light-proof tarp.
Check the rigging every time you go riding.
Don`t leave the sails up unless you are sailing, sun eats them up too.
*Optional; leave the sails around so we can go sailing too !!!

The local police will probably go crazy about a boat on the sea oats
heavy fines and going to court could happen check the local laws
A boat on sand only would probably be OK

Buy 12 inch cinder blocks. It takes a long time for rain to pack loose sand around your anchor. I've seen 8 inch blocks pulled right up when a boat blows over. Or when you are burying the block pour water into the hole as you go. It will pack like concrete.

I've found that those long auger-type anchors such as for a shed work pretty well too! Also, it 's a good idea to tie a line between the shrouds and beneath the tramp or use the jib sheets pinned to the forestay adjuster to tighten the rig to prevent the mast from whipping around or even dismasting in squalls.

Thanks for the tips! We are also considering keeping it somewhere along the Banana River (east or west sides). Looking for a secure location but also easy to launch and lots of storage area. We still may keep it at the beach... just trying to look at all of our options... we like options :-)

Thanks again... this forum is awesome... lots of info!

I kept my boat on a beach for a couple summers and I would get some of those long auger like anchors (I think the ones I had were 3 feet long maybe.. possibly over kill but better safe than sorry) I put one on either side of the boat and used a tie down strap to tie the boat down secure. Through various storms in the summer the boat was never damaged or seemed like it hardly even was disturbed by them.
