I would say mid to late 90's, this is only a guess I'm sure someone can pin point it for you. I had one in 2001 that was 104's

Thanks,

I have a 1998 Hobie 16, sail #102668, so I would say it's a 1997/1998 sail.

I agree--my sail # is 102266 and the boat is a 1998.

My first boat (actually, my DAD's first boat, since I was only 13 at the time) was #6707. Spring of 1973. Since the 16 was introduced in August of 1970, I would venture to say that yours is a late '71 / early '72 boat.

Hard to tell for sure though, because back then they weren't using the hull #'s on the stern that give you the actual month/year of mfg.

Your hull number should be engraved on the front pylons. Be interesting to know what it is. 8)

I just checked it out last night. Hull #3404. So the sail # is one less than the hull. Go figure. Anyway... '71/72 eh? Heh... That said, the numbers are kinda falling off the sails. Do you have a good method for re-attaching them? Spray glue maybe? Or what? Thx. 8D

I would definately find a way to re-attach the numbers. They could be all thats holding the sails together at this point. lol, just kidding.
