I just throw a nice big blanket in the back of the hatch. If you can see my car is very very low. I have a full air suspension on my car so I can slam it to the ground, so the roof is not that high compared to SUV,s. I basically load it from the back . Load the front of the hull first letting it rest on the back of my hatch and lifting it from the back lift it up and gently slide it onto the crossbars . Not very hard at all. But for sure I'll look into the saddles and rollers so I won't damage the hull. This is how I do it and it's what the dealer showed me

If you want to put the PA on a vehicle roof with Yakima Roof Racks, here are two videos of how to get it up and down by yourself:

I got my roof racks and the boat loader on eBay.

The bar they are using is a Yakima Boat Loader.

Thanks for the pictures guys and advice. I guess I'm gonna go with Yakima railgrab with 48" bars and some landsharks. Found some cheap ones on craigslist. And I'm also gonna pick up a PA 12 since it has all the nooks and no drilling for all the stuff that goes in the hull...pictures when its set up soon!

Big props to stevelibs went to home depot got some 2" PVC . Along with some Yakima mighty mounts I picked up at the local rack store only took less than 30 min to build. Now my hull is safe . Saved a huge amount of money!!!

I like the idea of the PVC. I see you have the round roof rack bars like I do. Can you tell me what model mighty mounts you used that fit on the round bars?

I think I read some where they have about 60Lb weight limit on those bars. No?

My guess is that you are talking about the boat loader and not the roof racks?

http://www.yakima.com

Go to the link I showed you and look at the guy hanging on the boat loader. He looks like he weighs more than 60 pounds to me. Remember, you are not transporting the yak on them, just temporarily supporting the yak until it is moved onto the roof racks.

If you were talking about weight capacity of the roof racks themselves I believe they are all designed to support 165 pounds but the set up for you individual vehicle may reduce that. I have a Hyundai Elantra (small vehicle) and the same roof racks when installed on my vehicle has a weight limit of 125 pounds. With the seat and mirage drive removed from a Pro Angler 12 it is within the capacity of the racks.

I hope that helps.
