I bought a hobie 16 a few months ago, fixed it up with new trap, sails and a few other parts! With some reading took it out, and I'm having a good time with it! At the time of the pic it was my fourth time out, on lake mead Nevada, I've been to mission bay san diego, long beach and lake mead

I dont know how much time I had it on one hull not enough wind to get out on the wire and one hull!!

Question when up on one hull do you run the main sheet, the traveler car, or the rutter
I was watching youtube video, the guys do a lotta racing, and it look like his crew was running the traveler car when he got a little puff

Little puff, steer it up into the wind slightly.
Big puff, dump some mainsheet.
Sustained windspeed increase, drop the traveler.
