I have broken a piece off the upper tiller casting (port side) at the very rear of the casting Just behind where a bolt goes through the tiller blade and casting. It is either part no 5032 1001 or 5034 1001 (depending on whether the part labelled left is the port tiller)

Considering whether to get a local welder to try to repair it or whether to buy the new part. My own carelessness as I left the boat bumping on the beach and there must have been too much force on one of the tiller blades.

Welding cast alloy is often a bit of a hit and miss thing.

Anyone can give me an idea of price? New or pre-loved is OK.
Thanks
Peter

The letter inside the casting is reversed.... The one marked "L" is the Right / Starboard casting as I recall. Was related to a molder issue... not which casting it is. The way to tell is by standing aft of the boat... the casting has a molded "bow" inboard to angle the tiller inboard.

Part Description
50321001 RUDDER CASTING UPR LT BLK
50341001 RUDDER CASTING UPR RT BLK

11/2012 USA $216.00
