You are without a doubt one of the best Cat sailers I have ever seen. Great job.

Great video, as always.
Nice work on the GPS phone case as well. Very innovative.

Thanks! I would like to see how fast other Hobie Cats can go. My top speed is 16.4 mph on my Hobie Wave. What is your top speed?

Don't have a measured speed but...

Seriously, are you sure you weren't going faster? Have you tried calibrating your gps? Say, taking it in the car, checking it against the speedometer or something.

Sure looks like a nice lake...

Hobie advertised an "official record" of 25.9 mph in the Hobie 16 brochure that came with the 1981 boats.

Is the official record" of 25.9 mph for a Hobie 16 or for a Hobie Wave?
25.9 mph is FAST!!!

25.9 mph is FAST!!!

Well, let's see. It was in a brochure for the 16, and it was in 1981. I'm pretty confident it was for the 16, not a Wave. I could be wrong though.

I thought it might be comparing the Hobie 16 speed to other Hobie sailboats speeds.

The record in 1981 would be hard to compare to a Hobie Wave Since Waves I believe hadn't hit the market yet.
