Hey guys! I just got my new 2012 TI Saturday and took her out Sunday. All I can say is WOW! This thing is awesome. I sold my 2011 outback and kept my 2012 PA12 so this is a great new addition to the fleet.

I bought this from a (somewhat) local dealer as a display model that had never been in the water. The only issue as far as I can tell is the rear steering handle is styled exactly like the older smaller steering handle in my 2011 outback, while the front steering handle is the new larger handle, the exact same one as on my PA12.

I'm assuming this was just a mistake. I'd like to get the correct handle on there, but I cannot find a part number for the 2012 TI, I can only find the older 2012 parts. What is the best way to go about this if I don't want to make a 4 hour trip just for a handle?

Thanks!

Jay

Take a picture, then call your dealer. If this was a factory mistake, Hobie will most likely make it right. Maybe even drop-ship the correct part(s) to you.

Thanks KayakingBob,

I have been a fan of your work for sometime now. Have read the monster Haka thread multiple times now and appreciate your contributions. Such an awesome community.

Yes, Contact your dealer. Seeing that it was on display for some time... My guess is that they pulled the handle off to sell to someone at some point and replaced it with the wrong part. Always possible we did that in production, but less likely.
