My mast furling collar keeps riding upward from its base a couple inches each time I take my Ti out. It looks like the glue seal broke sometime ago and all I have to do before going out is to tap it back down into place in line with the original seal. Is this a common problem indicating a possible serious failure I should worry about?

I capsized after my aka slid out from its clip last year and experienced an XBAR failure while sailing too close to a reef break a few weeks ago, so I'm a bit paranoid about other things going wrong.

Incidentally, Hobie totally came through for me with a new XBAR! These guys really stand behind their name.

Yes, the furler drum needs to be re-glued. That is a potential problem for the boat if it slips and allows the base to come up off the step fitting.
