They work very nicely.
Shackling at the "head" and tying at the stock end with mono or cable ties is an excellent idea btw. Allows easy remival of anchor if stuck under rock.
I use 3-4 feet of stainless chain which reduces amount of anchor rope (warp) required also otherwise a 5/1 or greater is needed. With chain added I can get away with 3/1 in good conditions.
