What advice can you all give me with regard to the rope that should be used for my replacement sheet?

Your boat's brand new. Why the new sheet?

I am changing it to a 3:1 as i sail with mrs CC and it will help her out (she has had a spine fusion operation last year)

3 to 1 with the original sheetline worked fine. Lots of line in the boat when the sail is fully out though.

Thanks bob

My plan is for 3:1 from 2 seats so I expect the sheet line to need to be longer.

I ran mine from the front cleat and was able to use it fine from the rear seat. I do tie my sheet-line to my reefing-line though.

Cc,

Search my old posts, I recommended the Marlow line. Nice stuff. Another modification I think is worthwhile is adding a couple of cheek blocks to the furling line, see my post on rear seat furling for pictures.

For reference - the Hobie mainsheet is spun dacron.

1/4"x 55' for the TI.

1/4"x 32' for the AI

Reefing lines are both 12'
